Paper cutouts of the gun and holster for scale. I used this as a scale to make sure the size was correct. Note this gun is relatively small. Look at the picture at the bottom of this page you will see Crais's hand cover the stalk of the gun. Yes the stalk of the gun is wrong I am deep in the midst of rebuilding the stalk to be more accurate. Plasterscene Clay model
of the Pulse Gun. I used the paper cut out as a guide as I sculpted the plaster scene clay gun. Warning plaster scene clay gets soft when it gets hot. When you are ready to cast the gun my suggestion would be to put the gun in the fridge for a day to cool it down. The curing of plaster of Paris there is a lot of heat. You don't want your gun drooping.<G>		 Plaster of Paris mold half. I used tinfoil for the parting line. I used tinfoil trays that I suspend the clay model in the tray. I filled the tray half way with a very thin liquid of plaster of Paris. When the gun was half way submerged I stopped filling and allowed the plaster to cure for 24hours. I then covered the dried half of the plaster with Vaseline and tinfoil and poured the second half of the mold.
Here is the finished mold. tearing the clay out is the easy part I did a light sanding job to make it nice and smooth. I used a slow cure epoxy to allow good setting. Fast setting epoxy can cure unevenly causing soft spots. Solid epoxy half. I filled both half of the mold with epoxy. I mix in s filler it make the epoxy easer to work with once it has cured. Next I chipped away the plaster. Take some time removing the plaster. The two half ready for assembly and finishing. I glued the two half together with epoxy. I sanded and filled the epoxy with what's called red lead. You can get it at any auto body store. I then primed the gun and slightly sanded them.
Pulse Gun Holster plaster Master. I hope the gun fits? Let see... Yes it fits! Its ready to be over molded with epoxy.

Finished and painted. All it needs now is the Gun site on the side. Note: I painted the pulse gun and holster with Testers Gunmetal Gray. Here is the gun and holster. I for one find that the big attraction to this project was the design of the gun and holster together. You can't make the gun without the holster.
