escape from the Peacekeepers. He intentionally triggered another
wormhole while running this maneuver during solar flares near
Dam-Ba-Da. With Crichton’s instructions and Aeryn’s piloting
skills, Moya used the slingshot maneuver to escape from Crais’s

Cemetery Planet involved in a rite of passage. The test involves
hanging upside down while sonic waves cause vibrations throughout

deep well, chanting all the way down. They’re kept from smashing
themselves on the rock at the bottom of the well by a sonic net
that cushions the fall. The net is sustained by the sound of their
voices. When the kids reach the ripe old age of 22 cycles, rather
than grow old and deformed by radiation, they stop chanting part
way into the leap and splatter themselves on the rocks. This is

text is written in an old Hynerian dialect that only the priestans
