Munchies & Medicines

Adraxan Vapor: The highly volatile substance used to get rid of the metalite infestation on Moya. Zhaan flooded Moya’s affected areas with the vapor and when it was fully absorbed into Moya’s tissues, Pilot was able to ignite it electrically, burning the Karak metalites and killing them. The unfortunate result of the ignition was that Moya herself was terribly burned. Liars Guns and Money, Part 2

Bettur: One of the ingredients Zhaan told Aeryn to use to make a salve that would slow down Zhaan’s budding process.  Home on the Remains

Cholian Curd Salad: One of the foods served at the opening banquet in Through the Looking Glass. Nobody liked it except Rygel

Clorium: Also known as onlux. One of the six forbidden cargoes for Leviathans because it acts as an anesthetic, a numbing agent. It’s a common element and is found in many forms. According to Zhaan (who was the resident herb and medicine specialist), clorium is an atmospherically induced isotope of twinium. In I, ET the crew landed on the planet Denea to get clorium to sedate Moya while they removed a Paddoc Beacon. Before they could find the clorium, Rygel was able to cut out the beacon. He then sprinkled the clorium over the wounds to ease Moya’s pain. In Thanks for Sharing, the Peacekeeper Retrieval Squad laced the chromextin with clorium hoping to sedate Talyn so they could, well, retrieve him. I, ET; Thanks for Sharing

Contala Tea: D'Argo brewed some and brought it to Verell, hoping for a “chance” meeting with Matala. Back and Back and Back to the Future

Freslin: An aphrodisiac/date rape drug extracted from the senil gland of sentient beings. It has a couple of different forms. The most widely used one is the aphrodisiac but there’s also a form called aura morph, which, when sprayed on someone, creates an illusion. It’s used as a disguise, making someone look like someone (or something) else. Raxil sprayed it on D'Argo, making him look totally different for a short time. Oxidation increases it’s metabolism, causing it to wear off sooner, so Raxil kept trying to get D'Argo to calm down. Scratch ‘n’ Sniff

Hepatian Mint Stew: One of the special dishes Chiana prepared for the crew to eat right before John and D'Argo left to blow up the Gammak base. Family Ties

Heppel Oil: Believed by some to be a myth, Dellos concubines have a gland implanted that secretes heppel oil. Its perfume targets the erogenous zones. Once implanted, it can't be removed and the concubines die cycles before their time. Grayza has one of these glands and that's how she's able to control men from Braca to Crichton. Kiss taster stuff: The breakaway Sebacean colony on the Royal Planet devised a great way to find out if they were able to produce healthy offspring. They put a drop of this stuff on their tongues and kiss. If their DNA is compatible, the taste is sweet. Aeryn tested the theory with both Rygel (ptui!) and with John ( big beautiful smile). Look at the Princess, parts 1, 2, and 3

What Was Lost, Part 1: Sacrifice; What Was Lost, Part 2: Redemption; I Shrink Therefore I Am

Leearvink: Ths specialty of the house at the diner in I-Yensch, You-Yensch and a particular favorite of Sko and Wa. It looks a bit like a chicken pot pie. I-Yensch, You-Yensch

Lygel: When Zhaan was budding due to starvation, she asked Aeryn to use lygel in a salve to slow the budding process  Home on the Remains

Melar Gas: A sleep inducing gas that Zhaan used to suspend Rygel’s biological functions. This way he could avoid being detected by a bioscan when he entered the Shadow Depository’s vault. Its effect is instantaneous. Later in the show she used it to knock out the Peacekeepers who were pursuing her and Chiana. Liars, Guns and Money, Part 1

Miramar Root: The stuff that Kabaah uses in his “pleasure elixirs”. It has a smell that’s offensive to John and D'Argo. Scratch ‘n’ Sniff

Crystherium Flowers: On earth, these flowers are called bird of paradise. They're an essential nutrient to Scarrans and without it they will revert back to a species of low intelligence. The can't expand their empire without it so when Crichton nukes their main supply, they'll need to find another source. Incubator; We're So Screwed, parts 1-3

Narbot Serum (Mention Only): An injection of this is fatal. Grunchlk wanted Zhaan to inject it into John to put him out of his misery when he was lying on the operating table talking gibberish.   Season of Death

Nashtin Cleansing Pills: When Chiana was suffering from a hangover during Zhaan’s trial, Rygel gave her three of these pills to ease her suffering. Instead of taking them at intervals, she took them all at once, and got very high and extremely hyper. Dream a Little Dream

Onlux: See Clorium I, ET

Rygel liberated the Acquarans from the negative power vortex installed by the Hynerian Empire during the reign of Rygel X. Kato-re, the leader of the Acquarans, presented Rygel with a tray of shakloom jerky in gratitude.

Shelak: Looks like chicken fingers. The recipe called for chicken but since John had no chicken, he made it from space rodent. Through the Looking Glass
