Microbes;
Injected into beings at birth, they colonize at the base of the
brain and allow all the different species to understand each other.
but they don’t translate everything. For example, swear words are
almost never translated. When
John first came aboard Moya, a DRD injected him in the foot and a
couple of years later we saw a DRD inject the Vorc with these microbes, then
Neeyala got the treatment.

Veneks: The people attacking the Jocation monastery.
They were considered barbarians but they were fighting for water
rights. If John, Jool, Stark and D'Argo hadn’t interfered, the
Venek commander would have sought peace. Instead the Veneks
slaughtered everyone in the monastery. Different Destinations...

Vorc
(Martin
O'Leary; Voice: Virginia
Weule): A cute/ugly little creature that Chiana and D'Argo brought
aboard to hunt a parasite they suspected was in their food supply.
It has two forms, a rather gentle creature to do the tracking that
turns inside out when it senses the parasite and becomes a fierce
toothy predator. (See Ravork.) He developed quite a crush on Aeryn who shot him
thinking he was the parasite. Beware of Dog

Xarai:
The Xarai used to be
Peacekeepers guarding Kaarvok aboard the Leviathan, Rovhu. Somehow
(it’s never explained how) Kaarvok escaped custody and took over
the ship. He made twins, equal and original, from each of the
Peacekeepers for food (or family, he didn’t seem to know the
difference). But he did it too many times and the later batches of
twins didn’t have much in the way of intelligence. Kaarvok called
them Xarai after a tame vangern he once had. Eat Me

Zenetans: The pirates who run the flax. They have
distinctive black markings on their faces and terrible teeth. Their
