Aurora Chair: A
Peacekeeper device that extracts information from the subject’s
(victim’s) memories in the form of memory-movies projected on a
circular screen in front of the victim’s face. First it maps the
neural patterns, then it digs through the memories, peeling back
as many layers as necessary to find whatever the subject knows.
It’s not supposed to be possible to give false memories to the
chair, but by messing with the mechanism underneath it, the chair
can be tricked. Scorpius used an Aurora Chair on his Gammak base
to find out why Crichton was spying on the Peacekeepers.
He wasn’t, but Scorpius didn’t believe him. He
extracted memories from John’s mind that John didn’t even know
he had, memories of wormhole technology implanted by the Ancients.
Gilina, a PK tech who was in love with John, was able to insert
some false thoughts into the chair to give Crichton a bit of
relief from the pain of the process. Scorpius also dug through
Stark’s mind but Stark was able to cloud his thoughts and the
chair couldn’t get past that. When Scorpius put Crais in the
chair, he tried to hide Lieutenant Teeg’s murder but couldn’t.
After they blew up Scorpy's Command Carrier, Co-Kura Strappa went
in the chair to get rid of his knowledge about wormholes. Nerve;

Talyn are biomechanoid beings. See heading Biomechanoid for more

Bioneutralizer: The sterile

Black Hole Weapon: Verell, an
Ilanic scientist, took a piece of a black hole and developed it into a
weapon to use against the Scorvians. It was so powerful and dangerous that
he had to store it in a containment field. Verell was eventually killed by
Matala, a Scorvian spy disguised as an Ilanic. She had worked on the weapon
with Verell and stole it after she killed him. She herself was killed by the
weapon while she was escaping. Back and

Blobs
of Explosive Ability: One of the Colartas let a blue and a red blob loose in the nightclub
on Canvia. They flip-flopped toward one another and when they met and joined, they blew up the
club injuring Sarova and Crichton. Thanks for Sharing

Cartographic Crystal: It looks
like a giant glass golf tee. Namtar gave it to Rygel, Zhaan and D'Argo
claiming that it contained the maps to their home worlds. He said he was
able to locate their homes from samples of their DNA. All they had to do was
insert the data into Moya’s navigational systems and they would be on
their way home. Kornata later told them that it was a scheme to wipe
everything from Moya’s memory in order to keep her crew readily available
as subjects for Namtar’s experiments. DNA

Cesium Fuel: Cesium is one
of the alkali metals. It reacts explosively with water, is liquid at or near
room temperature, and has more isotopes than any other element. Humans use
it for photoelectric cells and the Peacekeepers use it for Marauder fuel.
When Larraq was infected with an intellent virus he tried to escape Moya in
a Marauder that was leaking cesium fuel. Pilot initiated StarBurst to ignite
the trail of cesium and BOOM, no more virus, no more Larraq. A

Talyn was trapped inside the budong, Stark came up with the idea of igniting

Contraceptive Shield: Velorek
placed this device in Moya to prevent pregnancy. Crais was working on an
experiment to create a Peacekeeper Leviathan warship but Velorek felt this
was wrong and he placed the shield to keep it from happening. Aeryn knew
Velorek was up to something and blabbed to Crais who arrested Velorek and
gave Aeryn her wish, a return to prowler duty. Several cycles later, D'Argo
unintentionally removed the shield, allowing Moya to conceive Talyn. The

Control Collar, Nebari: The Nebari
have at least two different models and both work using a push button system
on the forehead of the controlling Nebari. Salis used the first style to
control Chiana when she first came on board Moya and it seemed to be a pain
producer. The second style seems more dangerous. It injects a very painful
dose of bisaric acid at the push of the button. Pilot is especially
susceptible and when Varla set sail for the nearest Nebari outpost, she
adjusted Pilot’s collar to automatically inject a lethal dose if he
strayed off-course. Durka Returns; A

Control Collar, Peacekeeper/Leviathan: When a Leviathan is captured by the Peacekeepers, she’s
sedated with clorium and a collar is put around the forward part of the ship
to prevent the Leviathan from going into StarBurst. When Moya first escaped
from the Peacekeepers, D'Argo ripped out the cables and wires controlling
the control collar, freeing her to StarBurst to…somewhere else. Rovhu, the
prisoner-transporting Leviathan that had been attacked by the Scarrans,
still had his control collar on. Premier;

Coolant
Rods: Scorpius is
part Scarran and part Sebacean. Since Scarrans thrive on heat and Sebaceans
can’t live with it, Scorpy has a problem with internal temperature
regulation. Diagnosan Tocot installed a cooling apparatus in Scorpy’s head
that solves this problem. It has removable rods and when the rods overheat
they can be changed for new ones. Scorpy also carries a one-shot pulse
weapon inside the mechanism that came in handy during I-Yensch,

Cryogenic pods: Constructed
of hydrohonium steel, they are self-regulating coffin-shaped containers used
to preserve frozen bodies for long periods of time. Diagnosan Tocot used
them to keep not-quite-dead people on hand in order to use their bodies as
spare parts. Die Me Dichotomy, Season of

Cryonic Suspension: The Nebari
mind cleansing technique (the real one, not the drug induced one used on the
crewmembers in A Clockwork Nebari)
requires that the subject be placed under cryonic suspension for nearly 100
cycles. Durka was the only example we’ve seen who was cleansed with this
technique and it didn’t really “take” with him. Rygel’s attempt to
murder Durka only succeeded in breaking the mind cleanse. Durka

Cryostasis: Suspended
animation in a deep cold environment, from cryo- meaning cold and –stasis
meaning fixed; the state of having a body or bodily tissues frozen to
maintain a fixed state. Aeryn put Rygel in cryostasis when his body fluids
turned explosive so she could filter the toxins out of his blood. The bodies
in Tocot’s clinic were preserved in cryostasis and saved for spare parts.
When Zhaan entered unity with Aeryn, who was effectively dead in cryostasis,
she was able resurrect her. Thank God Its

Dampening Net
(Mention Only): The only
Plokavian weapon that isn’t lethal. Crais wanted to trade Talyn’s main
cannon for one but he needed the assistance of Moya and her crew .
Ironically, when the trade went bad, the Plokavians were by pulverized by
Talyn’s main cannon and a second Plokavian ship used their dampening net
to incapacitate the Moya crew who were trying to escape in a transport pod. The

Defense Screen/Shield: Gilina
helped Crichton and Aeryn steal half of a defense shield from the Zelbinion
and install it on Moya. When activated, it surrounds the ship and prevents
it from being hit by weapons’ fire. Usually there are two layers, one over
the other, so the holes in one are protected by the other. Unfortunately,
there wasn’t time to install both layers on Moya so there are a lot of
holes in her defense shield. So far it’s come in handy in protecting Moya
and her crew from the Sheyangs and the Halosians, and was somewhat effective
when used against the energy sphere that invaded Moya and began tossing out
Crichtons right and left. PK

imbedded under his skin. There have been other holo images in Farscape:

Hydrohonium Steel: A strong
