Janz-Two Torpedo (Mention Only): When the lunatic Leviathan tried to keep Moya from burying Talyn by ramming into her, Aeryn said that a janz-two torpedo couldn’t have done more damage. Dog with Two Bones

Jellifan Paste

Jelifan Paste: An explosive substance. Zhaan mixed up a batch that John and Aeryn slathered on one of Scorpius’s coolant rods hoping that the explosion would kill him. Unfortunately, it didn’t blow up until it was out of Scorpy’s head and then injured his nurse but left him unharmed.

Karjik Pulse: A Peacekeeper search mechanism. It’s tuned to energy sources so Moya lowered the temperature inside the ship to make it harder for Crais’s Command Carrier to detect her. The crew was freezing but they figured that was better than confronting Crais.  Bone to Be Wild

Kill Shot: A Peacekeeper battle triage system that involves two separate injections. The first shot stops brain and heart functions and renders the subject effectively dead; the second shot revives him. When John and Aeryn were trapped in the flax, Aeryn wanted John to use it on her while he repaired the transport pod but, since his space helmet was broken, she used it on him.  The Flax

Laser Knife, Peacekeeper: The tiny weapon that Crichton liberated from his Peacekeeper guard. The first shot he ever took on Farscape went backwards over his shoulder, barely missing him. Once he got the thing figured out, he fired "little yellow bolts of light" over the heads of the guards to give Aeryn, D'Argo and himself time to escape back to Moya. Premier, Fractures, Unrealized Reality

Thanks to JM for passing this along!

Laser Link: A safe way to communicate between ships. Only if a ship was directly between the two ships could they intercept the signal. Pilot used a direct laser link to communicate with Aeryn on board Talyn during a period of radio silence. Mind the Baby

Leaching Sieve: When Rygel’s body fluids turned explosive because of his reaction to the tannot root, Aeryn set up a leaching sieve to remove the toxins from his body. It appears to work the same way that dialysis does on earth. Thank God It’s Friday, Again

Life Disk: Some species have them implanted under their skin as a connection with their loved ones. When the loved one dies, the disk becomes inactive. Chiana had her brother Nerri’s disk implanted inside her. She thought Nerri was dead when his life disk stopped functioning but he wasn’t. He had joined the Nebari underground and was working to stop the Nebari from taking over the galaxy. Taking the Stone; A Clockwork Nebari

Madium Steel: A super strong material able to withstand a metevec explosion. It was used to construct the vault of the Shadow depository. Liars, Guns and Money, Part 1

Magnetic Crypt Encoder: Stark called it his “baby”. He built it from metal scraps that he’d been collecting for two cycles. If he got the sequence right, it was supposed to unlock the door to his and John’s cell on the Gammak base, but he could only try one sequence at a time.  The Hidden Memory

MagCuffs.jpg (7193 bytes)

Magnetic Handcuffs: A device used by the Coreeshi bounty hunters to immobilize their prisoners. They came in handy when the prisoners were dumped into a "beer can" and stored within the Coreeshi armor. I Shrink Therefore I Am

Magnetics Indicator

Magnetics Indicator: It hangs on a wall and is used to detect atmospheric magnetics on Arnessk. What Was Lost, Parts 1 and 2

Map Fibers: Staanz took D'Argo to a Luxan Deep-Space Voyager that was trapped in the flax. D'Argo hoped to find map fibers that he needed to show him the way to his home. Map fibers seems to be a fancy name for star charts. The Flax

Molecular Diaspora: Being broken up and scattered at the molecular level. Moya was trapped in the “expanse between”. If they hadn’t been able to escape they would have  been destroyed but the inter-dimensional entity gave them a boost and they were able to complete their StarBurst back into normal space.  Through the Looking Glass

Nebari Mind Cleansing: It’s supposed to eliminate all inappropriate behavior (or what the Nebari determine to be inappropriate behavior) and negative impulses. There are two types: the quickie and the 100 year version, and both are horrible in their own special ways. The quickie version is drug induced and short term. The Nebari have a neat little eyeball-popping machine so they can apply the drug to the eyestalk. The drug is then supposed to enter the neural system. For the long term version they put the subject into cryonic suspension and perform a neural realignment. This should be permanent but Durka was able to snap out of it when Rygel set off a bomb right next to him. Durka Returns; A Clockwork Nebari

Nebula Pod: Part of a flight racer. One of the Grundeks sold one to Sikozu in exchange for some Scarran currency. It was supposed to be an escape vehicle, but Chiana killed Ilkog before he could give it to Sikozu. Crichton Kicks

Negative Power Vortex: Installed on Aquara by the Hynerians, it prevents anything that needs power from operating. They used it to keep their subjects planet-bound and under the thumb of the Hynerian rulers. Jeremiah Crichton

Neural Harness: While Crichton was playing the VR game, he believed he’d gotten out but was still trapped in the game. In the Moya part of the game, Scorpius had Pilot locked in a neural harness and was controlling him. Pilot’s mind was slave to Scorpy and whatever happened to Scorpius, happened to Pilot. John Quixote

Neural Realignment: The Nebari put the subject (also known as the victim) in cryonic suspension for 100 cycles so that they can remove all thought patterns that cause inappropriate behavior. See also Nebari Mind Cleansing. Durka Returns

Neural Transponder: The Hand of Friendship was extended to Crais by Talyn. When Crais accepted, they became linked by means of a neural transponder that Talyn stuck into the back of Crais’s neck, probably hooking into the base of his brain. Crais removed it when he was asking for help replacing Talyn’s main cannon but he had a second one ready to put in its place. When Moya found Talyn drifting in space and severely injured, Rygel removed it from the ailing Crais. Crais collapsed, Talyn got upset, Aeryn got really angry and Rygel immediately replaced it in Crais’s neck.   Mind the Baby; The Ugly Truth; Eat Me

Neurobiotracer: The chip that Scorpius inserted into Crichton’s brain to search out and map all knowledge John had about wormholes.

Novatron Gas (Mention Only): A Plokavian chemical weapon that eats a body alive. It’s also one of the six forbidden cargoes that no Leviathan may carry. When Moya detected it on the Plokavian ship, Talyn panicked and fired his cannon, destroying the Plokavians and setting in motion the disastrous events that led to Stark’s dispersal. (Image at left - Fento, one of the Plokavians. Is he a victim of the Novatron Gas?) The Ugly Truth

Occulars: A device that enhances a person’s eyesight. It looks like a pair of headphones and enables the eyes to magnify an image internally, without using binoculars or a telescope. Throne for a Loss

Ozme Rocket: The rocket Cartoon D'Argo strapped on to chase Crichton through space. Revenging Angel

Paddoc Beacon: A really loud Peacekeeper alarm. It’s attached to a Leviathan’s neural nexus so that if the ship escapes it’s control collar it automatically blasts an extremely annoying homing signal, using the outer hull as a maximizer, that will alert any Peacekeepers within range. It’s very difficult to remove, causing a lot of pain to the Leviathan. Moya’s was on Tier Seven in a rear storage compartment. I, ET

Pantak Jab: Sebacean version of a right cross. Crichton is more susceptible than most. Throne for a Loss

Paralytic Embalming Agent: A Scarran gas that preserves living tissue without harming the brain. Scarrans use it on subjects they want to dissect while they’re still alive. The gas is flamable and Sikozu was able to ignite it with her flaming fingers. Peacekeeper Wars

Partanium Isotope: The radioactive substance that killed John Crichton.  Infinite Possibilities, Part One: Daedalus Demands; Infinite Possibilities, Part Two, Icarus Abides

Particalization Shield: One of the functions of D'Argo’s new ship, Lo'laan.

Particle Analyzer: Used to detect a particular element in the region. Used in I, ET to identify clorium. John claims that it’s easier to use than a VCR

Peacekeeper Retrieval Squad: Led by Xhalax Sun, Aeryn’s mother, they came hunting Talyn in a Pantak class Vigilante ship using an immobilizer pulse. Xhalax’s crew consisted of three Colartas who were expert hunters. A second Retrieval Squad, under the command of Mele-On Grayza, captured Moya while she was trying to StarBurst out of their range. Crichton negotiated Moya’s freedom. Losing Time; Relativity; Into the Lion’s Den, Part 1: Lambs to the Slaughter

Pelshfer Charges: One of the weapons that Raxil expected the great Crichton and D'Argo to have.  Scratch ‘n’ Sniff

Phase Stabilizer: A device which allows any vehicle to travel safely through a wormhole.  Infinite Possibilities, Part One: Daedalus Demands

Phaztillon Generator: A device that alters the physicality of an object. One of the results is invisibility. Pathfinder Neeyala and her crew used the invisibility to sabotage Moya in Self Inflicted Wounds, Part 1

Planetary Terrain Reconstruction: It looks like a park, with lakes and trees and grass. There are about 20 of them on a Command Carrier and they’re used for combat training.  Into the Lion’s Den, Part 1: Lambs to the Slaughter

Plasma Bomb: One of the weapons that Raxil expected John and D'Argo to use. Scratch ‘n’ Sniff

Plasma Conductor: A Sheyang weapon. While Moya was docked with the Zelbinion the Sheyangs returned and targeted her. Gilina helped the crew steal the Zelbinion’s defense shield and install it on Moya in time to protect her from the Sheyang’s blast. PK Tech Girl

Prism Laser Saw: A cutting/slicing tool. Nothing is supposed to be able to resist one but D'Argo couldn’t get it to cut through the “blue snot” the draks used. Exodus from Genesis.

Pulse Gun/Pistol/Rifle: Peacekeepers won’t leave home without them. They’re fueled by chakan oil which is made from tannot root. The rifle is a larger and more lethal version of the pulse gun. The weapon explodes when the pulse chamber is overloaded, as John learned the hard way. He later put the knowledge to good use in “disposing” of the Scarran who was driving him crazy. They have adjustable settings for varying degrees of pulse strength. Throne for a Loss; Crackers Don’t Matter; Won’t Get Fooled Again

Pulse-Back Soundings: The Farscape version of SONAR. The Flax

Qualta Blade/Rifle: When he’s not actually using it, D'Argo carries his Qualta Blade strapped to his back for quick access. It’s a little over three feet long, is perfectly balanced, and has the added advantage of quickly converting into a pulse rifle. It once belonged to D'Argo’s grandfather who used it during the siege of Reqmek. It was the only thing that D'Argo had that his new ship would accept as the key to shut down its self destruct sequence.  Throne for a Loss; Revenging Angel
