Leaching Sieve: When
Rygel’s body fluids turned explosive because of his reaction to the tannot
root, Aeryn set up a leaching sieve to remove the toxins from his body. It
appears to work the same way that dialysis does on earth. Thank

Life Disk: Some species
have them implanted under their skin as a connection with their loved ones.
When the loved one dies, the disk becomes inactive. Chiana had her brother
Nerri’s disk implanted inside her. She thought Nerri was dead when his
life disk stopped functioning but he wasn’t. He had joined the Nebari
underground and was working to stop the Nebari from taking over the galaxy. Taking

Magnetic Crypt Encoder: Stark called
it his “baby”. He built it from metal scraps that he’d been collecting
for two cycles. If he got the sequence right, it was supposed to unlock the
door to his and John’s cell on the Gammak base, but he could only try one
sequence at a time. The

Map Fibers: Staanz took
D'Argo to a Luxan Deep-Space Voyager that was trapped in the flax. D'Argo
hoped to find map fibers that he needed to show him the way to his home. Map
fibers seems to be a fancy name for star charts. The Flax |

Molecular Diaspora: Being broken
up and scattered at the molecular level. Moya was trapped in the “expanse
between”. If they hadn’t been able to escape they would have
been destroyed but the inter-dimensional entity gave them a boost and
they were able to complete their StarBurst back into normal space. Through

Nebari
Mind Cleansing:
It’s supposed to eliminate all inappropriate behavior (or what
the Nebari determine to be inappropriate behavior) and negative
impulses. There are two types: the quickie and the 100 year
version, and both are horrible in their own special ways. The
quickie version is drug induced and short term. The Nebari have a
neat little eyeball-popping machine so they can apply the drug to
the eyestalk. The drug is then supposed to enter the neural
system. For the long term version they put the subject into
cryonic suspension and perform a neural realignment. This should
be permanent but Durka was able to snap out of it when Rygel set
off a bomb right next to him. Durka Returns; A Clockwork Nebari |
|

Nebula Pod:
Part of a flight racer. One of the Grundeks sold one to Sikozu in exchange for some Scarran
currency. It was supposed to be an escape vehicle, but Chiana killed Ilkog before he could give
it to Sikozu. Crichton

Power Vortex:
Installed on Aquara by the Hynerians, it prevents anything that

Neural Harness: While
Crichton was playing the VR game, he believed he’d gotten out but was still trapped in the
game. In the Moya part of the game, Scorpius had Pilot locked in a neural harness and was
controlling him. Pilot’s mind was slave to Scorpy and whatever happened to Scorpius, happened
to Pilot. John Quixote |

Neural
Realignment: The
Nebari put the subject (also known as the victim) in
cryonic suspension for 100 cycles so that they can
remove all thought patterns that cause inappropriate
behavior. See also Nebari Mind Cleansing. Durka

Neural
Transponder:
The Hand of Friendship was extended to Crais by Talyn.
When Crais accepted, they became linked by means of a
neural transponder that Talyn stuck into the back of
Crais’s neck, probably hooking into the base of his
brain. Crais removed it when he was asking for help
replacing Talyn’s main cannon but he had a second one
ready to put in its place. When Moya found Talyn
drifting in space and severely injured, Rygel removed it
from the ailing Crais. Crais collapsed, Talyn got upset,
Aeryn got really angry and Rygel immediately replaced it
in Crais’s neck.

Neurobiotracer: The chip that Scorpius inserted into

John had about wormholes. |

Novatron
Gas (Mention Only): A Plokavian chemical
weapon that eats a body alive. It’s also one of the six
forbidden cargoes that no Leviathan may carry. When Moya detected
it on the Plokavian ship, Talyn panicked and fired his cannon,
destroying the Plokavians and setting in motion the disastrous
events that led to Stark’s dispersal. (Image at left - Fento, one of the
Plokavians. Is he a victim of the Novatron Gas?) The Ugly Truth |

image internally, without using binoculars or a telescope. Throne for a Loss |

Paddoc
Beacon: A really loud
Peacekeeper alarm. It’s attached to a Leviathan’s neural nexus
so that if the ship escapes it’s control collar it automatically
blasts an extremely annoying homing signal, using the outer hull
as a maximizer, that will alert any Peacekeepers within range.
It’s very difficult to remove, causing a lot of pain to the
Leviathan. Moya’s was on Tier Seven in a rear storage
compartment. I, ET |

Paralytic
Embalming Agent: A Scarran gas that preserves living tissue without harming the brain.

still alive. The gas is flamable and Sikozu was able to ignite it
with her flaming fingers. Peacekeeper Wars |

Peacekeeper
Retrieval Squad:
Led by Xhalax Sun, Aeryn’s mother, they came hunting Talyn in a
Pantak class Vigilante ship using an immobilizer pulse. Xhalax’s
crew consisted of three Colartas who were expert hunters. A second
Retrieval Squad, under the command of Mele-On Grayza, captured
Moya while she was trying to StarBurst out of their range.

Pulse
Gun/Pistol/Rifle:
Peacekeepers won’t leave home without them. They’re fueled by
chakan oil which is made from tannot root. The rifle is a larger
and more lethal version of the pulse gun. The weapon explodes when
the pulse chamber is overloaded, as John learned the hard way. He
later put the knowledge to good use in “disposing” of the
Scarran who was driving him crazy. They have adjustable settings
for varying degrees of pulse strength. Throne for a Loss;

Qualta
Blade/Rifle: When he’s not
actually using it, D'Argo carries his Qualta Blade strapped to his
back for quick access. It’s a little over three feet long, is
perfectly balanced, and has the added advantage of quickly
converting into a pulse rifle. It once belonged to D'Argo’s
grandfather who used it during the siege of Reqmek. It was the
only thing that D'Argo had that his new ship would accept as the
key to shut down its self destruct sequence.
