Ractor: A Charrid weapon. It’s a barbed two-pronged
instrument that contains neural circuits that inflict ten times
the normal pain. Rygel used one to torture and kill the Charrid,
Zylar, on DamBaDa. Infinite

Rantath
Flux: A property of
wormholes. Most wormholes are unstable in their rantath flux
varience and this instability causes the death of anyone who tries
to navigate through them. In theory, negative phase shielding
allows any ship to safely go through a wormhole. When Linfer
defected from the Peacekeepers, she thought she had the phase
shielding problem licked but unfortunately, she was wrong. Incubator |

Razaric
Acid: The poison that the
Varla used in the control collar they put on Pilot. If Pilot
strayed from the course the Nebari wanted to travel, they would
inject him with a lethal dose. A Clockwork Nebari |

Royal
Baby Machine:
When DNA from both potential parents is put into the machine, it
manufactures a representation of what their baby will look like.
One possibility, anyway. Before Princess Katralla and John were
married, we saw a beautiful little boy who could have been their
child. Later, after John was “destatuized”, he found that
Katralla was pregnant. With the help of the machine John was able
to meet his daughter who wouldn’t be born for 80 cycles. Look at the Princess, Parts 2 and 3 |

|
Royal Statue Creator:
This thing actually creates royal statues. Statues containing
royal people. Real live royal people. The theory is that when the
next in line for the throne gets married, the newlyweds need to
learn all about leadership. By becoming statues, they get a crash
course in Politics and Government 101. Well, not exactly a crash
course. They stay that way for 80 cycles, standing in the hall of
government and learning everything there is to know about running
the government. Look at the Princess, Parts 1, 2, and 3 |

Scanner: Zhaan
first used it in They've Got a Secret to check out D'Argo after he
was dumped into space. Jool used one in Thanks for Sharing to
keep a watch on Crais. |

Scorpius’s
Clone: Scorpy inserted a
neurobiotracer into Crichton’s head when he had John in the
Aurora Chair. It was only supposed to map John’s neural pathways
and learn whatever it could about wormhole technology but the
clone developed a personality of its own. Even though Scorpius
removed the tracer and the tendrils are supposed to be dead, the
clone lives on in John’s mind. It’s beginning to develop a
personality of its own with a sense of humor and quite a bit of an
instinct for self-preservation. He’s not too fond of his
creator, Scorpius, and has been giving John some hints about life
in the Uncharted Territories |

Scorvian
Neurostroke: It
looks a little bit like an industrial strength Vulcan neck pinch.
Matala, the Scorvian spy disguised as an Ilonic, used the
neurostroke on Aeryn to win a fight in the cargo bay gymnasium.
She again used it on Crichton in one of his future flashes. Back

See-through
Skull Machine:
Diagnosan Tocot’s neurosurgery apparatus. When it’s switched
on, the physician can see and work right through the skull bones
without cutting skin or bone. Using this piece of equipment Tocot
was able to remove the Scorpy chip from John’s head. Die Me

Self-Tracking
Pulse Cannons: Automated
drones that protect a planet from a low orbit. When an intruder is
detected, they first give warning and if the warning is ignored,
they begin shooting. The Royal Planet used this automated system
to protect them during the time of the royal wedding and
coronation. When John jumped out of the Jakench ship it was

to make Moya invisible to Peacekeeper scans. John wore it around
his neck when he went on his heroic mission to kill T’raltixx. Crackers

Serax Carver: An excavation tool that peels
off cycles of age. When it touches something living, it alters their DNA and turns the being
into whatever it’s touching. Vella, one of the Interion
archeologists on Arnessk was turned into stone with the carver. What Was Lost, Part 1: Sacrifice |

Skreeth
Communicator:
A Skreeth has the ability to communicate over long distances by
means of this device. Grayza slapped the thing on Braca's forehead
and, through it, spoke with the Skreeth that was stalking
Crichton. When the device was removed, Braca had no memory of it.
Grayza convinced him that they'd been having some great sex during
the time he couldn't remember. Terra Firma |

Sonic
Ascendency Cannon:
Mounted on a gun turret at the top of the ship, it’s Talyn’s largest weapon. Crais wanted to disable it and
install a dampening net in its place. Ironically, Talyn shot the
net salesmen with the cannon and StarBurst away. So much for that
plan. In later episodes, Talyn used the cannon to destroy the
Shadow Depository and Scorpius’s Marauder (without Scorpius in
it). It’s about the only thing that we’ve seen that terrifies
Scorpius. Bone to Be Wild, The Ugly Truth, Season of

Net: A net sustained by
the sound voices. Peacekeepers use them in aerial combat training
and the clansmen on the Royal Cemetery Planet used one to keep
them from hitting bottom when they jumped into a deep well. Taking

|
Spectral
Analysis
(Mention
Only): A
method for depicting wave lengths visually. It’s often used to
demonstrate x-ray or audio wavelengths. It was one of the tests
that Kornata asked Pilot to perform when they were trying to
return Aeryn to her normal self.

Stasis
Gun: A Peacekeeper
weapon, it fires a tranquilizer to immobilize a subject.
Larraq used one to knock Rygel out when it was believed he
carried the intellent virus. John, under the influence of the
virus, smashed the stasis gun. A Bug’s Life |

Stevva
Crystals:
Bomb ingredients. The bomb Rygel made to kill Durka was a bit of a
dud because Rygel didn’t use enough stevva crystals. It was
enough to nullify the effects of Durka’s mental cleansing
though, and return him to his former self with all of his
antisocial behavior intact. Durka Returns |

Tak-five
Torpedoes:
They have warheads and fusion bonded rhenium claws. They have a hand-held firing mechanizism and
can be operated by a single person. When the
Budong swallowed Talyn, Aeryn attached cables to the rear and used
them as mooring harpoons. Later they came in handy as an ignition
source to start the cesium-water reaction that caused the budong to barf up Talyn. Green Eyed Monster |

Knife: Made from bone and
used by Luxans for an unnamed ritual. (Rygel implied that the
ritual was something like a do-it-yourself circumcision.) Because
Moya couldn’t stand to have metal used on her neural nexus,
Rygel used the tokaar knife to excise the Paddoc Beacon from Moya.

Topographic
Bio-Print: It
shows where different life forms are located in relation to a
planet’s surface. Aeryn and Zhaan were able to locate Rygel,

Ident Chip: It
contains an identity code for tracking a ship, probably similar to
the IFF transponder system used by humans. John changed the
identity code of the one on the transport pod that he was using to
get to the Jakench ship where he would hide out until his wedding
to Princess Katralla. ro-NA talked him into using one that she had
instead. John didn’t know it but ro-NA got it from Scorpius. Look

Venek
Weapon Disabler (Mention

with spears and other non-pulse weapons. The weapons the crew
brought from the future weren’t affected by the dampener |

Wanted
Beacon: A Peacekeeper
version of the post office wall, it consists of a holographic
image broadcasting the offer of a reward for the capture of
fugitives. It can also contain personal messages that can be
accessed only with a personal password. Crais used one on
Dam-Ba-Da to search for D'Argo, Zhaan, and Rygel and Scorpius used

Wormhole: So far the technology hasn’t been developed
to use this phenomenon as a weapon but Scorpius and the
Peacekeepers are working on it and Crichton and company are trying
to prevent their success. The Ancients gave Crichton the wormhole
technology by implanting it deep in his brain, but he hasn’t yet
had the ability to access it. Scorpius has copied what John has in
his brain and is working on the technology at his new Gammak base |

Wrist
Stiletto: Jenavian
Chatto, the Peacekeeper Disrupter who saved John’s life on the
